hmm.... tough one. I guess having a hard cardboard paper inside the school tudung so that it makes the perfect angle? ah! and the very much cover the face tudung - which ustazahs always reprimanded us for it. The tudung is also makes of shiny satiny cloth. No cotton. For leisure, it would be either plain coloured tudung or the rosalinda tudungs or the cotton tudung that have flowery designs (not the kind you see today). Tudung bawal.

Baggy pants for the girls. Wearing celak or eye kohl to school.
Everyone equipped with walkman or mini radio - with the loud speaker functioned. So that during gotong royong, everyone can listen to radio together.

no.3 activities.
mine's a co-ed school, so I went to a lot of campings. Whether at the back of school, or in a mountain, or just playing around with mud.
Got scolded a lot from teach-in-charge. And a lot of rotan too. With my group. Still remember the sensation of not being able to sit properly due to the rotans...
And walking around the school at night before Lights-Off. And buying nasi lemak, nasi ayam, pau daging masak hitam, pau ayam masak kicap before going to sleep. And going to teacher's house to pau their food.

Job Hunting Season

it's time again,
the job hunting season.

One thing I notice that the system used for job seeking here is quite different from back in my own country.
For one thing, here I have to go to career seminars, a lot of them too.
They did not offer position to us. Instead, they asked where in the company would you like to be placed, or so I've been told.

I must learn the company background, at the same time send out my resume to them in order to receive the infos (such as the company profits, future investments, how many people quit the company after 3 years and such).
There will be three times the interview.

to all manga lovers,

sadly, mangafox had already broken the rules.
As a reader, and also (a free translator), I feel sad learning the facts that sites like mangafox profits from free-scanlation mangas, uploading back hit series (manga lovers should know this by now), and ignoring the requests from scanlators.

WE, the SCANLATORS, do not make profits.
We just want to let people know the fun of reading mangas.

I admit that sites like mangafox introduces me to a lot of mangas that I've never knew and loved. but, once it had been licensed, shouldn't the manga community respects the publisher as well as the mangaka wish. Better yet, as a loyal fan, shouldn't we to buy and OWN the manga WE love? and take down old releases. Not re-upload.

I do not wish for the mangakas to know about this. If they knew, what horror would that be.
They may not be motivated anymore to draw mangas we love just because of our online community. I wish for that to never happen. (ONE PIECE on hiatus because of online fans -> never want to read this headline on the news, do you?)

It's getting cold lately during the night, yet the day is still warm.

I'm still wearing summer clothes with a summer jacket during the day. (My lab is too warm. huhuhu)

Here's the review for After Eden's album promised so long ago.

1. Eden

A good opener, I guess. It's a song of hope and dreams. An uplifting song. Wakana and Hikaru 's voices blend together well, moreover for Hikaru. Keiko, as usual a great support, adding more depth to the song.

2. sandpiper

at first, I thought it was mezame from Fiction Junction. haha, but when Hikaru's voice comes out, it's Kalafina that I'm hearing. Love it and I like the chorus part the best! This song can be count as a ballad. Have Jpop-ish feeling in Kalafina's song is not quite bad.

4. kugatsu (September)

I like the piano in here. Sweet but it's kind of sad. I'm a fan of Wakana, so I really love her singing part in here. But I can feel that Hikaru's getting better with songs like this. There's flute too. Hearing Kalafina singing love songs are the best.

5. in your eyes

Not much of my taste, but Keiko part when she sings "kura kura" seems fun.

6. destination unknown

one of the songs I love on this album. No more said. Hikaru sets the dark mood need for the song. Keiko rocks this song.

8. kotonoha

WAKANA!!!!!! a ballad song! I love this song soooooo much that I keep on replaying the song! Thank you BleedyLegend for uploading a video with subs for this song!

11. mune no yukue

The best song for me!!!!! I love Keiko's voice in here! I wish she sings more songs like this! This songs really brings out her best!! (for me, kakakaka)

13. symphonia

A great song with all theirs voices combined together. A little bit different from their previous album too. But I like the song composition. Keiko as the opener, then Hikaru comes in, Wakana sings the chorus. I want to hear they sing live with this song!

All in all, After Eden is different from their previous albums. It's like Yuki Kajiura is experimenting each voices to the fullest potential, at the same time composing songs that quite different from before {I believe with simpler composition(?)}. A lot of songs have their voices as background music instead of using instruments. My only wish is that they put in sapphire in this album.

I think that this album is an enjoyable album for those whose hearing Kalafina for the first time. Hikaru takes the main stage in this album, and Wakana sings the chorus part a lot. Keiko is a great support, but I wish that she have more songs like Mune no yukue!!

Every Thursday, I check upon my favorite manhwa, then go to laboratory like any other day, then comes back home looking up at my favorite anime series of the moment.
Not much of life, huh?

Then open my fridge to find nothing because it's already Thursday. Friday is the day of shopping.

With nothing left in the fridge, I go to the nearest 7-eleven, buying onigiri, some bread, and chocos for dinner.

I am the kind who could not study in her room - I only eat, sleep, play, engrossing myself in mangas in my room- so I wake up early to (never mind that- I could not even wake up early anymore) go to the library. Save my electric bills.

About Thursdays;
hmmmm.... then Fridays. Home shopping.
and Saturdays for laboratory meetings.

I'm hoping the endless loop to break anytime soon, or else, I will start to believe that I'm a robot.

Shimonoseki's firework display is such a huge event that we had to come 3 hours early. Streets packed with people and car parks were already full by 3 o'clock. The display started at 7.40 o'clock though.

Today's temperature=21 degree. It's so cold. I even have a runny nose (with a box of tissue near me), drinking hot tea, wearing my winter clothes already. Lucky that my air-con have heater with it.

And the summer holiday is coming to the end.

Could not believe it!! I spent half of my holidays with friends, while the other half drifting away into nothing inside the confinement of my own room.

My album project is almost finish, and I need a new one to cover all the pictures I've taken throughout the entire Spring and Summer.

Happy Eid to all the muslims out there!!!! Even though I could only call my family back home, and spending the whole day walking in the park, but still Raya is RAYA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(Not to forget that I stared at the fishes on the second day)

Classes are starting tomorrow. Pretty late, comparing to some of my friends in Kanto, Kansai, and Nagaoka. Why am I complaining? At least my holidays feel much longer (in jest).

I'm hungry. I want to eat. But this stupid diet making me hungrier than ever. I should just eat, but I don't want to be such a plump girl.... huhuhu.... (I even tried searching for recipes that low in calories, but to no avail; all of them doesn't even satisfy my craves)

It is not yet summer but the humidity, and the temperature is changing drastically to a hot dessert. Learning is tough, when the wind is so strong that it made my notes flew(luckily I caught them before the turned into burnable garbage).

My frequent-visited udon store has a new recipe. Cold udon, but as I thought I prefer hot udon although it's steaming hot here.

I ate Doraemon's favourite dorayaki. It's like bean paste (azuki) wrapped in two thick pancakes . Not so delicious for my taste. But maybe I need to stop more dorayaki store?

Last night 24th June, I experienced earthquake for the first time. It lasted arond 2-3 seconds, but no doubt about it, my bed was shaking so hard that I had to think twice( for I thought it was my neighbour moving things around her room). Here I am living on the highest floor in my apartment, won't that be something to fear? I was already thinking about hiding under my study table too. Luckily it last by seconds, which seemingly for me, more than a day. I still feel the anxiety up till now.

Pandora Heart manga is cool. Can't wait to watch the anime.

My host family is really cool.... though there seems to be a lot of questions regarding Islam(especially the food part); but Nanami, Yuusaku and Teppei are absolutely the cutest siblings I'd seen so far. Mine? Couldn't be compared. Ha hu hi. Tried the Japan's curry rice(made by my host mom aka Okaasan). It's thicker, but do not have the same thickness as mamak curry, and there's no coconut milk flavor to it. The onions were boiled... that's the biggest difference between Malay curry too..., and there's carrot in it. Tak pedas jugak....

I think the most thing that I missed is food that are pedas. I don't think hot is quite to describe the malay food... But lately I've been eating breads and making them.

To my family, sorry that I do not want to go back during this year Ramadhan. I really wanted to explore Japan. Please do not be angry with me( I don't care if you're angry but I really do CARE if you are DISSAPOINTED in me, though). Just one small request... please send me the food!!!! :)

my life here in Yamaguchi... at first it was so cold that I wanted to buy everything that could warm me up.... then it started to get warmer.... it's a good thing I didn't bought any new sweaters at all.

food.... at least it is easier to buy halal food here. And the customer's service department always online. And they always seems to help us finding the food that we could eat. Such as this

fuwa-fuwa cake. A very soft mochi(rice paste), with some creamy "something" inside...

Then the sakura tree. Sakura tree is a weird tree. They blooms beautifully, no doubt about it, but only after the blossoms fall then the leaves started to shoot. The flowers are beautiful... I like the colour.

Japanese like to sing songs with sakura theme in it. Beats me. At least every singer has a song entitled Sakura... and every single of them doesn't have the same theme. I guess. I haven't heard every Sakura songs yet.

The tree are amazingly comes in different shapes and sizes. The one I've seen in Tokyo was bigger than the one I've seen here in Yamaguchi. But I like the Yamaguchi's tree better. They give a warm feeling when you sit under the tree, with all those blossoming sakuras... words could not describe the feelings. I feel like I had come back home... or at least I didn't feel lonely under the tree. (Does that mean I'm lonely??? Ha Hu Hi)

Within the first two weeks of April, the sakura bloomed. The tulips bloomed. Strawberries are the hot item on the market. And the month of May came.

Golden Week!!!! holidays to all the citizens of Japan!!! and that will be in another post.

I'm writing a fanfiction and I don't know where to post it.. I'll just post some of it here first

Warrior of Silence

Prologue

Her deep violet eyes seemed searching for the answer she used to ponder. His twinkling golden eyes saw through her. She could not take this matter anymore, for his eyes, wherever she went, tracing her to take her gazing in his again.

“Hotaru!”

Her mind awakened.

“How could you be asleep at this time?” asked Chibi Usa, aimlessly looking up at the serene sky above the packed city of Tokyo.

Hotaru smiled. She actually liked night; it’s a better time of the day. After all, she was called firefly, an amazing creature that flutters against the dark sky. “What it is Chibi?”

Chibi looked at her best friend. She was tired of Hotaru not having a boyfriend. But then again, who wants a girl with her power? Even bad guys bolted out before Hotaru near them. “Let’s go to Urashinjuku. I heard there’s a sale going on.”

“Ok.”

She is beautiful. Her dark hair, her petite silhouette, her porcelain skin beauty, but there’s something about the eyes. Her azure amethyst eyes seemed to burn his heart. He wanted to touch her, to hold her; to…maybe he’ll do anything to electrolysis all her sorrow. Is that the word? Electrolysis? Whatever it is, just a longing to meet her.

“Amano! Work!”

Amano nodded. “Who’s the client?”

“Just some old hag”, came the reply, from the best bud he ever had, Mito. “Want to go the mall? There’s a lot of stuff down there you could try, even the girls, da.”

Amano knew that Mito was trying to set up with some girl, although all of them are his taste but none of them really her. The girl of his weird dream could not be found easily too. Well at least he will be just trying to mix in the crowd. This is his hometown after all. Urashinjuku.
